Auto Insurance
Liability, full coverage, multi-car. We shop carriers and walk you through what you actually need.
Auto insurance is mostly three questions: what Kansas requires, what protects your car, and what fits your household. Teen drivers, multi-car, commute, all of it.
Ample Green is an independent agency in Gardner. We shop multiple carriers, not one company line card. You tell us the vehicles and drivers. We bring options back in plain English.
Send what you have. We quote after intake. There is no instant bind here.
What auto coverage can include
Liability
Pays for damage or injury you cause someone else. Kansas requires liability. Minimums are a floor, not a plan.
PIP (personal injury protection)
Kansas requires this. Helps with medical and related costs for you and your passengers after a crash, separate from liability.
Uninsured / underinsured motorist
When the other driver has little or no coverage. Common requirement, and worth understanding before you cut it.
Collision
Fixes your car after a crash with another vehicle or object, subject to your deductible.
Comprehensive
Theft, weather, animals, glass, losses that are not a crash. Often paired with collision when people say full coverage.
Full coverage (how people mean it)
Usually liability plus comprehensive and collision. Not a single product name. We spell out what is on the page so you are not guessing.
Who this is for
• Drivers in Gardner and the Kansas City metro who want more than a one-carrier quote.
• Households with more than one car or more than one driver.
• Parents adding a teen or young driver.
• People who just bought a vehicle, refinanced, or need to move a policy without the runaround.
What helps us quote
Drivers' names and dates of birth, license info, vehicles (year, make, model, VIN if you have it), current coverage or a declarations page if you are already insured, how you use the cars, and any recent claims or tickets you know about. Policy share via Canopy Connect works if you want to skip the paperwork hunt. Or use the personal questionnaire and upload what you have. After-hours is fine.
Questions people ask
What is "full coverage"?
Most people mean liability plus comprehensive and collision. It is not one legal product. We show you what is included and what still is not (roadside, rental, and similar) so the label matches the policy.
Is Kansas minimum enough?
Kansas requires liability, PIP, and uninsured motorist coverage. Minimums protect you legally at the floor. Whether they are enough depends on your assets, car value, and risk tolerance. A lot of folks raise liability above minimums once they see the gap.
Collision vs comprehensive. Do I need both?
Collision is crash damage to your car. Comprehensive is most other physical damage (theft, hail, deer, and similar). Lenders often require both if you finance or lease. On a paid-off older car, we talk through whether the premium still makes sense.
