Privacy Policy
How we handle your information — and, just as important, what we do not do with it. This site does not track you. When you submit a form, your answers go to our CRM so we can follow up.
Effective July 14, 2026
Who this covers
This policy explains how Ample Green (d/b/a Ample Green Insurance) — an independent insurance agency at 526 E Main St, Gardner, KS 66030 — handles information from visitors to this website and from people who contact us through it.
As a licensed insurance producer, we are treated as a financial institution under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which sets rules for handling nonpublic personal information. We take that seriously, and this policy is written to reflect it in plain English rather than in the usual wall of legal boilerplate.
How the forms on this site actually work
This website has no database of its own and no server we run that stores form submissions. When you fill out the contact form or a quote questionnaire and press send, your browser posts the answers directly to our customer relationship system — Zoho CRM — using Zoho's Web-to-Lead form endpoint. Zoho stores the lead so we can work it. We do not keep a separate customer database behind this website.
- Your answers are not stored on this website; they are stored in Zoho CRM as a lead record.
- Optional file uploads on the quote forms (for example a declarations page) travel with that same form post, within Zoho's published limits.
- After a successful submit, Zoho sends you back to a short thank-you page on this site.
- You can still reach us the old-fashioned way: call (816) 317-5464 or email info@amplegreeninsurance.com.
The full personal questionnaire can optionally collect a Social Security number, driver's license number, and date of birth so we can prepare a more accurate quote. Those fields post to dedicated fields in Zoho CRM (with field-level encryption enabled when they are in use). They are never required to start a conversation — use the short “just get in touch” option, call (816) 317-5464, or email info@amplegreeninsurance.com if you prefer not to enter them online.
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us. Typically that is the information you would expect an insurance agent to need in order to shop for you:
- Contact information — your name, email address, phone number.
- What you are looking for — the kind of coverage you need, your current carrier, your renewal date, notes about your situation.
- Property and vehicle details — a home address, vehicles by year, make, model, VIN, and mileage; drivers and accident or violation history when you provide them.
- Business details, if you are asking about commercial coverage — legal entity, operations, payroll, property, liability, workers' compensation, and related underwriting information.
- Optional sensitive identifiers on the full personal questionnaire — Social Security number, driver's license number, and date of birth — used only to prepare a quote (for example, a credit-based insurance score where permitted). These are optional; leaving them blank means the quote may be an estimate until they are verified another way.
- Documents you send us, such as a declarations page from your current policy.
Later in the process — once you are actually applying for coverage rather than just asking questions — carriers may need additional information, including health history for life or health products. We collect that only when a carrier's application genuinely requires it.
Cookies, analytics, and tracking
There are none. We want to be specific about that, because "we value your privacy" is usually followed by a cookie banner and forty advertising partners.
- No Google Analytics, or any other analytics product. We do not measure your visit.
- No advertising pixels — no Meta pixel, no Google Ads tag, no LinkedIn tag, no remarketing of any kind.
- No third-party cookies, and no cookies of our own for tracking. That is why you do not see a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
- No session recording, heatmaps, or scroll tracking.
- No sharing of your browsing behavior with anyone, because we do not collect it.
- The fonts on this site are served from our own domain rather than from Google, so simply loading a page does not report your visit to a third party.
If we ever add analytics, we will say so here first, and we will keep it to something that measures pages rather than people.
Hosting and server logs
The site has to be hosted somewhere, and like essentially every web host, ours keeps standard technical logs — the pages requested, the time, the IP address making the request, and the browser type. This is ordinary infrastructure data used to serve the site, keep it up, and defend it from abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you, we do not combine it with anything you send us, and we do not sell or share it.
Canopy Connect
If you choose to share your current policy with us, we use Canopy Connect. It exists so you do not have to retype everything or dig up a declarations page.
Canopy Connect is a separate company with its own privacy policy, and when you use it you are dealing with them, not with this website. You sign in to your current insurance carrier through their interface — you keep control of that login, and we do not receive your carrier password. What we receive is the policy information you authorize them to share with us: your coverages, limits, deductibles, vehicles, drivers, and premium.
Using it is entirely optional. If you would rather not, email a declarations page to info@amplegreeninsurance.com or just tell us what you have, and we will work from that.
What we do with your information
We use it to do the job you asked us to do:
- Answer your question or return your call.
- Shop your coverage with insurance carriers and get you real quotes.
- Submit applications on your behalf, when you tell us to.
- Service the coverage you have with us — changes, renewals, certificates, claims support.
- Meet the record-keeping and licensing obligations that come with being a regulated insurance agency.
Who we share it with
Shopping insurance means showing your information to insurance companies — that is inherent to the work, and it is the reason we ask for it. Specifically, we may share what you give us with:
- Insurance carriers, their underwriters, and the wholesale brokers or general agents we go through to reach certain markets — in order to quote and place your coverage.
- Consumer reporting agencies and the insurance data services carriers rely on, such as motor vehicle records, claims-history databases, and property databases, as part of underwriting.
- Service providers who help us run the agency — including our CRM (Zoho), agency management tools, and email provider — and who are obligated to protect the information.
- Regulators, auditors, or law enforcement, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or hand it to data brokers or lead sellers, and we do not share it with anyone so they can market to you. If you get a wave of insurance spam after contacting us, it did not come from us.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit access to client information to the people who need it to do the work. This website itself does not keep a customer database — form posts go to Zoho CRM, which is a separate service with its own security controls. When Social Security numbers or driver's license numbers are collected on the full questionnaire, they are posted to dedicated Zoho fields configured for field-level encryption, not into free-text notes.
That said, no method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, and we are not going to claim otherwise. Ordinary email in particular is not encrypted end to end. If you prefer not to enter sensitive identifiers online, call us at (816) 317-5464.
How long we keep it
If you become a client, we keep your records for as long as you are with us and afterward for as long as insurance regulations and our carrier agreements require. If you only ever sent a form or an email, that lead or message lives in our CRM or inbox — you are welcome to ask us to delete what we are not required to keep.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep. You can tell us to stop contacting you, and we will stop. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's law — ask and we will honor them.
To do any of that, email info@amplegreeninsurance.com or call (816) 317-5464. You will reach the agency directly. There is no form to fill out and no ticket queue.
Children
This site is meant for adults shopping for insurance. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If how we handle information changes — if we add analytics, or change where form submissions land — we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. We are not going to quietly start tracking you and leave this page saying we do not.
